My 23rd BirthdayIt was a very happy day for me. I dressed up for the first time ever for my birthday. Comparing it to my 21st birthday, i didn't even bother to buy a new dress. *LOL* Who celebrates their 21st without even buying a new set of clothes for themselves? *Ta-dah!* ME! But i guess this year is different. Or rather, i am going to make it different. I wore a off white bare back, low cut halter neck dress. I think i looked very pretty. With the Dior earrings that Eve's elder sis gave me.
Eve and I reached the restuarant at Joo Chiat quite early. But thankfully we didn't have to wait very long for the rest to arrive. Or was it that i was in quite a cheery mood that's why i didn't feel the strain of time. Hmm..but it doesn't really matter. I was really happy. Receiving all the gifts and birthday wishes. After the scrumptious meal, we went to Punggol park for some wine. All of us agreed that the wine was not fantastic but we did have a good time.
Prezzie opening time was quite a feat for me coz i really am quite bad at opening my prezzies in front of people. But all the gifts were really nice. Eve got me a stingray skin watch to match my red dress for CNY and a damn expensive jewellery box. Nikki, Weiqi, Peiling and Winnie gave me Le Coq Sportif bag. Eveline and Willyn gave me a silver black clutch bag and Joanne and Nic gave me a bottle of wine, imported in from..eh..i forgot where..keke..
Hmm..when Nikki and gang went out to hunt for a birthday cake for me, i was really really touched. Almost moved to tears coz it was really late at night already and they still managed to find a cake for me. But they really didn't have to. Actually i wasn't planning to cut any cakes this year. Coz 'cake', sounds similar to the word kek sim(upset). But since it's out of goodwill, i'm fine with it.
The only boo-boo for the day was when the rose (pronounced as ro-seh) wine spilled on me. I almost freaked out but then thank goodness it wasn't red. Eventually, i managed to remove the stains by soaking up the patch with soda water. Haahaa..yes yes..another good tip for all those wine lovers out there, soda water is a handy thing to have around when you want to remove wine stains. That's if the stains are fresh.
Hmm..as for the photos, i'll upload them when i have the time. As all of you can see, i am very very busy. In fact, I use the com only to check my work stuff. But i guess everyone's glad that i'm even blogging. *lol*
